- It was nice to see the Oilers could go to the Blue Jays game on the fans’ money, rather than practising so maybe they could score at least one goal.
- Here we go again with the Oilers — they can rarely make one good pass and never link two together. I want to get paid $6 million to play like that.
- Northlands has been robbing the public with their parking fees for decades. As they say, what goes around comes around.
- Laying off all the parking cashiers while calling some of them thieves, and replacing them with Impark, the most reviled parking company operating in the city, is proof there is something seriously wrong at Northlands. When the dust settles it will cost Northlands more than the $400,000 they would have spent investigating, paying defamation of character claims.
- It is disgusting the way Edmonton media are exploiting Connor McDavid for their stories. Lay off the young man and let him grow into the hockey star he will become. The sports fishbowl of this community can be an embarrassment.
- Great to hear that AHS is planning a $4.5-billion overhaul of the Royal Alex Hospital over the next 16 years to 2030. Maybe by that time the City of Edmonton will have figured out the LRT crossing at Kingsway so patients and ambulances can actually get there.
- I am no civil engineer, but what was the point of ripping up the road with a Gradall, patching it up with asphalt, then going over the whole thing with a milling machine? A city crew did just that in my neighbourhood.
- Are the Oilers out of the playoffs yet?
- How about some common sense from our mayor and council? The shrubs, trees, lawns, etc., look nice, but the majority of bus stops remain open with no shelters whatsoever. This is Edmonton, folks, and we do have winter. Do any of you people take the bus yourselves?
- I wonder about the decisions being made recently by the Conservatives in this election. Are they the ideas of Mr. Harper, or the ideas of Australian Lynton Crosby — who was hired to help the Conservatives win this election? If Harper can’t win an election on his own merits, he doesn’t deserve to win. Time to vote for change.
- Can we make banning nose picking in public an election issue? It affects way more Canadian citizens than women wearing niqabs at citizenship ceremonies.
